Those who live with autism experience the world in unique ways. Their voices and gifts are needed in the church to help us experience the full beauty and scope of the Imago Dei – the Image of God.

I have two things that are uppermost in my mind as I write to you today. The first has to do with an emerging sense of vision that I’m seeing for our diocese and our churches. The second is related to the book of Revelation and Hispanic Heritage month.

On Sept. 9, at All Saints’ Church (Woodbridge, VA), DOMA held the annual Wardens’ Day.The Rev. Mary Maggard Hays (Canon for Clergy and Congregation Care) and The Rev. Dr. Tuck Bartholomew (Canon for Church Planting) presented alongside Bishop Chris.

During the months of August and September, our 40 for Life campaign is focusing on Orphans and Vulnerable children. Learn more about the 40 for Life campaign and caring for orphans and vulnerable children.

Please join children's leaders and directors from our diocese for our quarterly gathering over lunch on Thursday, September 14 from 12-2 PM at Restoration Anglican Church // 1815 N. Quincy St. // Arlington, Virginia. Lunch will be provided. All you need to do is RSVP and come! (And feel free to share this with others we may have missed.)

Children's directors met this past May at All Saints' Church in Woodbridge, VA with guest, Catherine Warner, wife of Bishop Chris Warner. Catherine shared the testimony of their three children, now young adults, their parenthood journey, the testimony of each in their encounter with the Lord, and how they now serve Him today.

Launched in Jerusalem in 2008, GAFCON stands as a response to the crisis in our Communion. Its goal is to offer a biblical counter to progressive Anglicans’ errors in doctrine and practice and a spiritual home for the faithful.

The Access Leadership Network seeks to discover, develop, and deploy leaders working to build communities of belonging for those with and without disabilities in parishes across the ACNA.

Anglican Frontier Missions (AFM) is hosting A Virtual Evening Meeting for Missionary Inquirers for individuals discerning a call to missionary service. 

Kristin Colligan with Church of the Apostles, Fairfax, VA will be hosting a lunch for those who serve in children's and family ministry on Thursday, February 16 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
