A Virtually "Perfect" Wedding
On April 25, Truro Anglican streamed a wedding that included a brilliant use of technology to include guest readers, musicians, and participation from the viewers. Thanks to a technologically savvy and creative team, Jim and Kim’s wedding ceremony did not have to be postponed and will be a day with a story to tell for many generations.
A few highlights to watch for:
Viewers are encouraged to participate by typing liturgical responses in the YouTube “chat” box and to worship with the couple as the musicians lead the song lyrics are included.
At around 23 minutes: Multiple readers of all ages participate in the reading of 1 Corinthians 13.
Near 26 minutes: Amy Grant provides a special message for the couple and sings “Doubly Blessed” for them.
Just past 30 minutes: Friends and family read from Matthew 5.
At 1 hour, 13 minutes: a beautiful, prerecorded saxophone solo (or is it a quartet?) is included. The creative use of technology for instances such as this are not to be missed!
