Art for the Seasons

Art for the Seasons

Esther Goeller, 16, a member of the All Saints’ Church (Woodbridge, VA) youth group, created a series of four paintings as part of her Level Award in American Heritage Girls—a Christ-centered scouting experience. Her goal was to decorate the youth Sunday school classroom with artwork.

Inspired by the current curriculum’s focus on the church calendar, Esther chose the liturgical seasonal colors as her theme. Each painting invites viewers to find unique details: some have spotted a tomb in the purple piece, angel wings in the gold, and a heart in the red.

A special detail to note— Actual plants were used to paint the green print!
