Same Kind of Different As Me (A Summer Book Group)

On Monday, July 25, from 7-8:45 p.m., the women's ministry at Church of the Apostles in Fairfax, VA is hosting a book group to discuss Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. This 2008 book tells the story of an extra-ordinary friendship between a man raised under plantation-style slavery in Louisiana and living on the streets, and an international art dealer and self-made millionaire in Fort Worth.

The publisher writes, "This tale told in two unique voices weaves two completely different life experiences into one common journey. There is pain and laughter, doubt and tears, and a triumphal ending that readers will never forget."
