Apostles Supports Local Students

One of Church of the Apostles local outreach ministries is to Fairfax Villa Elementary School. They are an amazing school who deeply cares for their students and supports over 30 families who struggle. For many years, we have partnered with them to provide filled backpacks for the students of those families which do not have the resources to provide for them. This year, we filled 32 backpacks, including good quality computer headphones for each child (required), and provided the classrooms with the requested supplies.

On Tuesday, August 13, we gathered in prayer and joined the school representatives and Food for Others to bless these families. Our team of volunteers scooped sno-cones, gave out candy, and engaged with the children to find the “right” backpack. It was a beautiful display of the love and generosity of our Lord!

We already have plans to do another blessing to these families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so stay tuned!
